Denny Hamlin<\/strong>\u2019s fianc\u00e9e is speaking out nearly a month after the NASCAR star\u2019s father, Dennis Hamlin<\/strong>, died in a house fire.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanna come on here and say hi. I know it\u2019s been a minute,\u201d Jordan Fish<\/strong> wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, January 25, according to Essentially Sports<\/em>. \u201cI wanted to say thank you to everybody reaching out over the last month or so. I tried to get back to a lot of you. I know there were so many I did not reply to. I\u2019ve seen everyone\u2019s messages. I just wanna say thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deadly fire occurred at the North Carolina home of Denny\u2019s parents, Dennis, 75, and Mary Lou<\/strong>, 69, the night of December 28. Both were transported to a local hospital with \u201ccatastrophic injuries,\u201d the Gaston County Office of Emergency Management and Fire Services confirmed the following day.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a really weird, sad season,\u201d Fish continued. \u201cNot really much of an off-season at all, and it\u2019s hard to believe that next weekend we\u2019re gonna be starting back up again, and I don\u2019t feel like we\u2019re really caught up.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded, \u201cI\u2019m kind of fighting a little sickness right now. I just wanna come on here and say thank you for reaching out and supporting our family. We really appreciate it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Denny, 45, provided an update on his mom\u2019s recovery, telling Fox Sports Digital<\/em> on Thursday, January 22, that she has \u201cgood days, bad days, but is getting better.\u201d<\/p>\n

The three-time Daytona 500 winner thanked fans for their condolences via X three days after the fire.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to everyone who has reached out with condolences on my father\u2019s passing,\u201d he wrote on December 31. \u201cMy mother continues to improve, and our family truly appreciates the outpouring of support and the respect for our privacy during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just weeks earlier, Denny had teared up in court while discussing his father\u2019s impact on his ability to pursue his NASCAR dreams. (NASCAR and 3XI Racing, which Denny co-owns with Michael Jordan<\/strong>, reached a settlement on December 11 in their antitrust case.)<\/p>\n

Denny told the Associated Press in October that Dennis was battling a \u201cserious illness\u201d and that 2025 would be his last chance to see his son win the NASCAR Cup Series.<\/p>\n
