\n\tThe trend of turning dystopian drama series into reality competition continues.<\/p>\n
\n\tAmazon has handed a greenlight to Fallout Shelter<\/em>, a series based on its Ella Purnell-fronted drama. The project comes from Studio Lambert, the company behind Netflix\u2019s Squid Game: The Challenge<\/em>, a reality series based on the streamer\u2019s hit Korean series.<\/p>\n \n\tThe ten-part series is based on the eponymous video game extension, which came out in 2015. Set inside Vault-Tec\u2019s bomb-proof vaults,\u00a0Fallout Shelter<\/em>\u00a0sees a group of contestants take part in \u201cescalating challenges, strategic dilemmas, and moral crossroads\u201d as they chase a cash prize.<\/p>\n \n\tIt comes as the second season of the drama series, which comes from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, is in the middle of its run, having premiered in December.<\/p>\n \n\tThe drama, which also stars the likes of Walton Goggins and Kyle MacLachlan, is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there\u2019s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind\u2014and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.
