Humidity is relatively high but moderated by sea breezes, and the ocean remains warm enough for swimming and water activities throughout the year, with average sea temperatures around 27\u00b0C (80\u00b0F).<\/p>\n<p>Instead of four distinct seasons, Seychelles experiences two main weather patterns influenced by the trade winds: the <strong>northwest monsoon<\/strong> (October to March) and the <strong>southeast trade winds<\/strong> (May to September). Rainfall decreases, making this a good time for hiking, exploring national parks, and sightseeing. <\/p>\n<p>The wind can cause rougher sea conditions, particularly on the southeast-facing beaches, but sheltered bays remain calm and swimmable. This is the best season for sailing and wind-based water sports like kitesurfing. <\/p>\n<p>June, July, and August are particularly popular months for European visitors, coinciding with the northern hemisphere\u2019s summer vacations, so expect higher demand for flights and accommodations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-base-2-background-color has-background\">We visited in early July on our last visit. The weather was lovely with warm, sunny days and cooler evenings. We had the occasional morning rain cloud, but no sustained rain. The sea conditions were on the rough side, with most days offering crashing waves on the beaches.
