After Elleshia Seymour<\/strong> fled the United States with her four kids in November 2025, her ex-husband, Kendall Seymour<\/strong>, has revealed that the children were located in an orphanage in Croatia. Now that the kids have been found, an attorney explained the next steps Kendall will have to take in order to get his kids back while exclusively speaking to Us Weekly<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In a GoFundMe update on Sunday, January 25, Kendall explained that he was raising money to \u201chire Croatian lawyers who specialize in child abduction, create and submit Hague Convention applications [and] hire court-approved translators.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hague Convention is an international agreement to safeguard intercountry adoptions, according to the US Department of State\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

Anthony G. Joseph<\/strong> from Masters Law Group \u2013 who is not licensed in Croatia \u2013 explained that Kendall\u2019s \u201cfirst step\u201d should be to retain \u201ca Croatian attorney to advise [him] on these issues.\u201d<\/p>\n

After noting that the Hague Convention process can be \u201cconfusing,\u201d Joseph explained that the process is different in every country. In the United States, people have to fill out an application on the State Department\u2019s website and may have to wait a long time to hear back.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFour children who disappeared from Utah with their mother in November 2025 have been located in Croatia, according to family members. West Jordan police said that Elleshia Seymour disappeared with her 11-year-old, 8-year-old, 7-year-old and 3-year-old children following an extended visit with them over the Thanksgiving holiday, Us Weekly previously reported. Elleshia, 35, and the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When it comes to Seymour\u2019s case, Joseph said he should \u201ccontact a lawyer who can advise [him] as to these issues\u201d because \u201cevery country handles and interprets Hague Convention matters differently.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joseph also explained what the Hague Convention process looks like in the United States. \u201cMost people think you fill out an application on the Croatian website, and it gets transferred to the US State Department, and they\u2019re going to send the parent a letter, right? And they\u2019re going to say, \u2018Hi, we\u2019re the State Department. We received this application. Please return the child by such and such [a] date.\u2019 That date\u2019s either going to come or go, and the child\u2019s not going to be returned,\u201d Joseph said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re then going to send the letter back to their foreign counterparts saying, \u2018Look, we were attempting to reach out to said parent [and they] didn\u2019t return our phone calls. So therefore, here\u2019s a list of lawyers who could possibly help you,\u2019\u201d the attorney explained.<\/p>\n

After Elleshia, 35, was last seen getting on a plane to Europe with her 11-year-old, 8-year-old, 7-year-old and 3-year-old children in November 2025, an Endangered Missing Advisory was issued for the children on December 10, 2025, and Elleshia was charged with four counts of felony custodial interference.<\/p>\n
