\n\tIn The Studio<\/em>, Catherine O\u2019Hara played former studio chief Patty Leigh, a hardened Hollywood vet who is the mentor of Seth Rogen\u2019s Matt Remick.<\/p>\n \n\tIt\u2019s a role that landed her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series last year.<\/p>\n \n\tThe cast and crew of the comedy have paid tribute to O\u2019Hara following her surprise death.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe are at a loss for words at the passing of our friend Catherine O\u2019Hara. She was a hero to all of us, and we pinched ourselves every day that we got to work with her on The Studio<\/em>. She was somehow classy, warm, and hilarious all at the same time. We\u2019re unbelievably saddened she is gone and send our deepest sympathy to Bo and all her family.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tProduction on the second season of the show started earlier this month, but it\u2019s not clear whether O\u2019Hara was part of that. The first season finale suggested that Patty Leigh would remain a fixture in the world of Continental Studios.<\/p>\n \n\tSeth Rogen said, \u201cReally don\u2019t know what to say\u2026 I told O\u2019Hara when I first met her I thought she was the funniest person I\u2019d ever had the pleasure of watching on screen. Home Alone <\/em>was the movie that made me want to make movies. Getting to work with her was a true honour [stet]. She was hysterical, kind, intuitive, generous\u2026 she made me want to make our show good enough to be worthy of her presence in it. This is just devastating. We\u2019re all lucky we got to live in a world with her in it.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIke Barinholtz, who plays studio executive Sal Saperstein, added, \u201cI never in a million years thought I would get to work with Catherine O\u2019Hara let alone become friends with her. So profoundly sad she\u2019s somewhere else now. So incredibly grateful I got to spend the time I did with her. Thank you, Catherine. I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe are all heartbroken by the loss of Catherine O\u2019Hara. An undeniable legend, icon, and incomparable talent, Catherine elevated every project she was a part of, including the singular genius she brought to her role on The Studio<\/em>, and every transcendent performance she gifted to us. It makes you stressed and panicked and miserable. One week you\u2019re looking your idol in the eye and breaking his heart, and the next week you\u2019re writing a blank check for some entitled nepo baby in a beanie. But when it all comes together, and you make a good movie, it\u2019s good forever,\u201d her character says.<\/p>\n \n\tShe also tries to placate Remnick after it emerges he has to kill a movie by Martin Scorsese. \u201cOh, you poor thing. You have to kill Martin Scorsese\u2019s movie. I killed one of Warren\u2019s movies in \u201988 and he never slept with me again,\u201d Leigh says.<\/p>\n
