minutes<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nAs you\u2019ve likely heard about by now, Catherine O\u2019Hara passed away on Friday at the age of 71.<\/p>\n
The beloved actress was best known for roles in Best of Show, Home Alone, The Studio and, to some, most notably, Schitt\u2019s Creek.<\/p>\n

(Photo by Kevin Winter\/Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cWords seem inadequate to express the loss I feel today,\u201d said Eugene Levy, who appeared in multiple projects with O\u2019Hara. \u201cI had the honor of knowing and working with the great Catherine O\u2019Hara for over fifty years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Continued the actor:<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom our beginnings on the Second City stage, to SCTV, to the movies we did with Chris Guest, to our six glorious years on Schitt\u2019s Creek, I cherished our working relationship, but most of all our friendship. And I will miss her. My heart goes out to Bo, Matthew, Luke, and the entire O\u2019Hara family.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Schitt\u2019s Creek, O\u2019Hara portrayed Moira Rose opposite Eugene Levy, who played her husband, Johnny Rose, and her on-screen kids Dan Levy (David Rose) and Annie Murphy (Alexis Rose).<\/p>\nCatherine O\u2019Hara, Annie Murphy, Dan Levy and Eugene Levy visit the SiriusXM Studios on February 6, 2017 in New York City. \u201cWhat a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s brilliance for all those years,\u201d he opened.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving spent over fifty years collaborating with my Dad, Catherine was extended family before she ever played my family,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am deeply saddened to hear we have lost Catherine. Being in Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s orbit was a beautiful, magical gift. She was an absolute star who never understood why people made such a fuss about her. Her passing is a loss for everyone who knew and loved her. My deepest condolences to Bo, her sons and the O\u2019Hara family.\u201d<\/p>\n
In 2020, Schitt\u2019s Creek swept the Emmys and in 2021, all of the cast once again went home winners at the Golden Globes.<\/p>\n

\u201cMama. I thought we had time,\u201d Culkin wrote alongside a photo of himself and O\u2019Hara in the movie (both stars reprised their roles for 1992\u2019s\u00a0Home Alone 2<\/em>).<\/p>\n\u201cI wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you but I had so much more to say,\u201d he continued, adding, poignantly:<\/p>\n
\u201cI love you. I\u2019ll see you later.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
