Dearest gentle reader, fret not because Anthony and Kate are returning to Bridgerton <\/i>season 4 in nearly a fortnight.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve confirmed Jonathan Bailey<\/strong> and Simone Ashley<\/strong> are both in the season, and if you haven\u2019t seen them in part 1, you\u2019re going to see them in part 2,\u201d showrunner Jess Brownell<\/strong> told Variety <\/i>in a Thursday, January 29, interview. \u201cYou\u2019ll have to wait and see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bridgerton <\/i>season 4, <\/i>following Anthony\u2019s brother Benedict\u2019s love story, debuted Thursday on Netflix. In the first half of the season, Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson<\/strong>) meets love interest Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha)<\/strong> in a Cinderella<\/i>-esque retelling. Anthony Bridgerton (Bailey) has not been present, as he and wife Kate Sharma Bridgerton (Ashley) previously traveled to India for the birth of their first baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey do have an integral role to play in terms of being the viscount and viscountess and the elder siblings,\u201d Brownell teased of Kate and Anthony\u2019s return to the ton. \u201cAnd I think it\u2019s lovely to have them back to advise and guide.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Anthony\u2019s absence, Benedict was appointed to help run the family\u2019s estate.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has, but also, there are multiple seats of the Bridgerton estate,\u201d Brownell acknowledged. \u201cHe\u2019ll be able to do that job, not only from Bridgerton house, but also from [Anthony\u2019s country residence at] Aubrey Hall.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bridgerton <\/i>is adapted from Julia Quinn<\/strong>\u2019s best-selling regency romance series of the same name, in which each novel follows one of eight siblings in the wealthy Bridgerton family. Season 1, based on The Duke and I<\/i>, chronicled Daphne\u2019s (Phoebe Dynevor<\/strong>) turn in the marriage mart, while the second season highlighted Anthony\u2019s journey in The Viscount Who Loved Me<\/i>. Season 3, meanwhile, starred Colin (Luke Newton<\/strong>) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan<\/strong>) and was inspired by Romancing Mister Bridgerton.<\/i><\/p>\n

The Shondaland series has already been renewed for seasons 5 and 6, which will star Eloise (Claudia Jessie<\/strong>) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd<\/strong>) in a yet-to-be-revealed order. (Eloise and Francesca\u2019s respective books are To Philip, With Love <\/i>and When He Was Wicked.<\/i>)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKate and Anthony weren\u2019t around as much during season 3 of Bridgerton, but the fan-favorite couple still left an impression with several steamy scenes. During the first half of the third season, which started streaming on Thursday, May 16, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) were fresh off their honeymoon. Their return to society [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re nearly done with season 5 at this point,\u201d Brownell further teased to Variety. <\/i>\u201cThe last three seasons have been focused on Bridgerton boys, so all I can say seasons 5 and 6 are definitely about the middle Bridgerton girls.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Brownell, there will be \u201csome clues for people to parse\u201d within season 4 about the order of the remaining seasons.<\/p>\n

Bridgerton <\/i>author Quinn, 55, is among the select few privy to the coveted order.<\/p>\n
