Reba McEntire has issued her first statement since the death of Brandon Blackstock.<\/p>\n

As we previously reported, Blackstock \u2014 a business manager, who was also McEntire\u2019s stepson and Kelly Clarkson\u2019s ex-husband \u2014 passed away in early August at the age of 48.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy stepson\/oldest son Brandon Blackstock went home to be with God,\u201d the country music legend wrote in an Instagram post, alongside several photos of the pair together.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis struggle is over and he is in eternal peace in God\u2019s presence.\u201d<\/p>\n
