Roma defender Gianluca Mancini underwent surgery to reduce a nasal bone fracture today and will play the next games wearing a protective mask.<\/p>\n

Roma defender Mancini will be forced to wear a protective mask in the following matches after undergoing nose surgery on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Italy international suffered an injury during the first half of Monday\u2019s 1-0 loss against Udinese, but remained on the pitch for the entire game.<\/p>\n

Sky Sport Roma correspondent Angelo Mangiante reports on X social media that the defender underwent surgery today, Tuesday, February 3, to reduce the nasal bone fracture.<\/p>\n

Mancini will be discharged in the coming hours and will be able to resume competitive activity wearing a protective mask.<\/p>\n

Mancini, 29, has scored one goal and provided one assist in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.<\/p>\n

Roma\u2019s next game is on Monday, February 9, at home against Cagliari.<\/p>\n
