Kendra Wilkinson<\/strong><\/span> knows the power of a mom group in her Southern California neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been through it,\u201d Wilkinson, 40, exclusively shared with Us Weekly<\/em> at Supermodels Unlimited Magazine<\/i><\/span>\u2019s 25th anniversary issue party on Tuesday, January 13. \u201cI know how the mom group stuff goes, especially in Calabasas. The mom group stuff lives heavily in Calabasas.\u201d<\/p>\n

After seeing the headlines regarding Ashley Tisdale French<\/strong>\u2019s controversial essay about leaving a toxic mom group<\/span>, Wilkinson decided to share a glimpse into her own experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t get along with mom groups. I never fit into mom groups,\u201d she explained at SUR Restaurant & Lounge in West Hollywood, California. \u201cI don\u2019t know why. Anytime I involve myself in a mom group, I always hear from people that everyone starts talking s*** about me, and I\u2019m sitting here, like, \u2018What did I do? What?\u2019 It\u2019s something that drives me crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAshley Tisdale French raised eyebrows earlier this month when she revealed she exited her \u201ctoxic\u201d mom friend group nearly five years after bonding with the women over pregnancy and motherhood. \u201cHere I was sitting alone one night after getting my daughter to bed, thinking, \u2018Maybe I\u2019m not cool enough?\u2019\u201d Ashley, who shares daughters Jupiter, 4, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a personal essay for The Cut<\/span> published on January 1, French, 40, recalled being left out of multiple events with her circle of mom friends. As a result, she decided to text the group that \u201cthis is too high school for me, and I don\u2019t want to take part in it anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou deserve to go through motherhood with people who actually, you know, like<\/i> you,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd if you have to wonder if they do, here\u2019s the hard-earned lesson I hope you\u2019ll take to heart: It\u2019s not the right group for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Wilkinson continues raising Hank Jr., 16, and Alijah, 11, with ex-husband Hank Baskett<\/strong>, the reality star-turned-real estate agent wants to avoid the drama \u2014 especially with other moms.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never want to be a part of that toxicity ever. I just want to keep life simple,\u201d she explained. \u201cYou do grow out of stuff like that. I just want to raise my kids and stay peaceful. I don\u2019t want to feel any negativity or drama with anyone. That\u2019s what I\u2019m all about these days.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilkinson first rose to fame as one of Hugh Hefner\u2019s girlfriends on E!\u2019s The Girls Next Door.<\/i> In recent years, the former Kendra On Top<\/i> star has stepped away from reality TV to focus more on building her real estate career.<\/p>\n

After documenting so much of her life through the small screen, however, Wilkinson understands why so many fans still love getting updates on her two kids.<\/p>\n
