Patrick Ball<\/strong>\u2018s girlfriend, Elysia Roorbach<\/strong>, made a guest appearance on the newest episode of The Pitt<\/em> \u2014 but did you notice her cameo?<\/p>\n

During the Thursday, January 15, episode of the hit HBO Max series, Langdon (Ball) received a patient in triage who glued one of her eyes shut while trying to put on false lashes. She asked Langdon if she could see Dr. J, whom he wasn\u2019t familiar with.<\/p>\n

Roorbach is expected to appear in more episodes as Langdon figures out how to help her ailment. The actress has been dating Ball since late 2023, according to their social media posts. On screen, Ball\u2019s return on season 2 of The Pitt comes after his character\u2019s tumultuous arc.<\/p>\n

The Pitt, which premiered on HBO Max in January 2025, followed a group of employees at a fictional Pittsburgh hospital\u2019s ER working a single 15-hour shift. The first half of the season showed Dr. Santos (Isa Briones<\/strong>) at odds with her supervisor, Dr. Langdon, which caused some viewers to express their frustration with Santos, who was an intern working her first shift at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital.<\/p>\n

Santos ultimately turned out to be right about Langdon stealing drugs from the hospital. During a March 2025 episode, Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle<\/strong>) angrily confronted Langdon about it and the senior resident admitted he developed an addiction after being prescribed medication following an injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe refers to having hurt his back while helping his parents move and that is frequently the case. He goes to a doctor who gives him pain meds and then those are habit-forming pain meds. This happens all the time. This happens with people that I know that are very, very high functioning,\u201d Ball exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the time. \u201cYou see this opioid problem that is just riddling itself all across this country. It\u2019s really sad because it\u2019s not people that ever set out to become addicts. It\u2019s people that trust and that get caught in a trap. That\u2019s part of what happened with Langdon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ball was thankful for the opportunity to tell the story.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll credit goes to our creator R. Scott Gemmill and the writers because it\u2019s never who you think when it comes to addiction,\u201d Ball said about Langdon acknowledging his problem. \u201cAddiction is a disease and it\u2019s a disease that a lot of people fight with \u2014 including a lot of people I know.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hit HBO Max series premiered in January 2025 with many excited to see Noah Wyle play a doctor again after his 15-year stint on ER. It didn\u2019t take long for Us to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to the actor, the writers\u2019 room was \u201creally great about being really measured\u201d in the hints and clues leading to the reveal.<\/p>\n

\u201c[It was also about] making sure that we depict this addiction as accurately and humanely and responsibly as possible,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s just been an incredible pleasure and honor to get to be part of telling that story.\u201d<\/p>\n
