Michael Rapaport<\/strong> received major backlash after bringing up Colton Underwood\u2019<\/strong>s struggles with his sexuality on The Traitors<\/em>.<\/p>\n

During the Thursday, January 15, episode of the hit Peacock series, Colton, 33, originally brought up his personal life while discussing his time on The Bachelor<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have already cried too much on TV, I can\u2019t do it anymore,\u201d he recalled. \u201cI was a hot mess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dorinda had some follow-up questions for Colton, asking, \u201cYou went on The Bachelor and you were gay? I didn\u2019t know that you went as a heterosexual on a major show. God, I missed the window.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colton, meanwhile, joked that Dorinda \u201cdodged a bullet\u201d by missing out on that chapter in his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome to the party, Dorinda,\u201d he quipped. \u201cAt that time, I was convinced I was a heterosexual.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former professional football player\u2019s love life was brought up again later in the episode. After Michael, 55, caught wind of Colton suggesting that he might be a Traitor, the actor tried to turn the tables.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis man is responsible for chirping in everybody\u2019s ear. And this man \u2014 after the challenge today \u2014 was openly in my face questioning me and then when I walked away, he said my name out loud to a group of people,\u201d Michael claimed. \u201c[He was] holding court and this man should be keeping his mouth shut. Because last night, this man organized and colluded to get rid of a good Faithful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael made it clear that he was \u201cangry, pissed off and isolated,\u201d which he blamed on Colton, adding, \u201cNobody in this room would be better at holding a secret than you.\u201d The comment quickly shifted the energy in the room as Colton fired back.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think it was fun for 29 years of my life?\u201d he asked Michael, who denied that his comment had anything to do with Colton coming out as gay later in life, clarifying, \u201cThat has nothing to do with it. I think you came into this game loving the idea of being a Traitor.\u201d<\/p>\n

The damage was done though and most of the roundtable subsequently turned their backs on Michael. After some people discussed writing Colton\u2019s name down as a Traitor, most of them shifted to Michael because of his comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t blame someone for being forced into a closet for the majority of their lives,\u201d Johnny Weir<\/strong> stated. \u201cThat is what we took it as.\u201d<\/p>\n

Candiace Dillard Bassett<\/strong>, meanwhile, told Michael that he should \u201cclarify\u201d what he meant if he wasn\u2019t mocking Colton for being \u201cin the closet\u201d in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis behavior is of a Traitor. His behavior is secretive. It\u2019s conniving, it\u2019s chirping, it\u2019s commiserating. It\u2019s cowardly,\u201d Michael fired back before being told again that he was \u201cwrong\u201d even if his words were taken differently than he \u201cintended.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael continued: \u201cTake it however you want. This is a Traitor. You\u2019re a Traitor \u2014 a commiserating and colluding Traitor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt\u2019s almost time for a new crop of Faithfuls \u2014 and Traitors \u2014 to compete on The Traitors season 4. The mafia-style game, hosted by Alan Cumming, features reality TV stars and other notable figures as they go head-to-head in the Scottish Highlands for a shot at up to $250,000. At that point, Rob Rausch<\/strong> stepped in to correct Michael\u2019s use of the word commiseration. Then Alan Cumming<\/strong> told everyone to cast their votes and Michael won by a majority. While some people cast their votes, they made it clear that it had more to do with Michael\u2019s behavior and them not wanting him to remain in the castle regardless of whether he is a Traitor or a Faithful.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve been pretty lucky to get this far,\u201d Colton told Michael before he left. Others backed up Colton \u2014 including Natalie Anderson<\/strong>, who said, \u201cFor me, there are some things that it doesn\u2019t even matter. You\u2019ve been on my list from day 1 and I\u2019ve been super honest with you about why. But today \u2014 the way you spoke to Colton \u2014 for me, it\u2019s enough to write your name.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric Nam<\/strong> also jumped in to share his thoughts.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re a Faithful, you are the most distracting Faithful. If you\u2019re a Traitor, you are playing a great game because you are so good at throwing things out there and having us just yell at each other and wasting valuable, precious time,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
