<\/span><\/div>\n Stuart Franklin\/Getty Images<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has raised concerns that Boubacar Kamara could spend a sustained spell on the sidelines.<\/p>\n Emery, talking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Everton\u2019s trip to Villa Park, stated Kamara \u2014 who sustained a knee injury in the opening minutes of the FA Cup victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday \u2014 will undergo further tests in the coming days, having been assessed by doctors.<\/p>\n \u201cKamara is out, his knee,\u201d said Emery. \u201cWe are checking him and he\u2019s visiting some doctors. We are going to know about him in a few days but of course not available and maybe for a long time. Hopefully not so so long time but we are checking him.\u201d<\/p>\n Villa had previously stated that the expectation was that the France international will miss between two to three weeks, but a prolonged absence would mean Emery would be without a key midfielder for a crucial run of fixtures.<\/p>\n Kamara\u2019s injury has comes at time with Villa lacking depth in midfield. Amadou Onana remains out while Ross Barkley is unavailable for a couple more weeks with a knee issue.<\/p>\n Elsewhere, Emery said he will make a late call on Emiliano Martinez\u2019s fitness after Villa\u2019s final training session on Saturday before Everton\u2019s visit.<\/p>\n The Argentina international came off in the goalless draw against Crystal Palace last week at half-time having experienced calf pain and was replaced by Marco Bizot. Villa sit third in the Premier League, ten points clear of both fourth-placed Liverpool and fifth-placed Brentford.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
