Update on Friday, January 16:<\/strong> The Avondale Police Department has identified a person of interest in the disappearance of Isabella Comas.<\/em><\/p>\n

The individual, Tommy Rodriguez, of Phoenix, is Comas\u2019 \u201cromantic partner,\u201d the department confirmed to Us Weekly via email.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rodriguez, 39, was arrested on charges of theft of means of transportation and criminal damage, according to police.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThese charges are related to the missing person investigation,\u201d the department said on January 16.<\/em><\/p>\n

Information on Rodriguez\u2019s legal representation was not immediately available.<\/em><\/p>\n

Investigators are searching for a missing 21-year-old Arizona woman, who was last seen leaving a friend\u2019s home and never arrived for her work shift the next day, according to officials.<\/p>\n

Isabella Comas<\/strong> disappeared under \u201csuspicious circumstances\u201d on Sunday, January 11, the Avondale Police Department confirmed in an emailed statement to Us Weekly<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Comas left her friend\u2019s home in Avondale that afternoon, around 3:00 p.m., while driving a red Hyundai Sonata, according to a news release shared by police on Wednesday, January 14.<\/p>\n

She \u201chas not been seen or heard from since,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

The next day, on Monday, January 12, Comas never made it to work, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said in a Turquoise Alert.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAuthorities in Indiana are searching for a missing 17-year-old girl who has not been seen by her family for days, police said. Hailey Buzbee, of Fishers, was last seen at her home the evening of Monday, January 5, according to the Fishers Police Department. Her family, who alerted police about her disappearance, believe she ran [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In Arizona, Turquoise Alerts are issued to help authorities find people who are considered missing and endangered, and are under 65 years old.<\/p>\n

\u201cIsabella was reported missing after her friend was not picked up for work by Isabella as per usual,\u201d the public safety department said.<\/p>\n

Comas\u2019 phone has since been found, according to the agency. The department did not specify where her phone was located.<\/p>\n

Comas\u2019 car was also located the evening of Tuesday, January 13, in Phoenix, Avondale police confirmed in the statement shared with Us<\/em>. Avondale is about a 15-mile drive west from Phoenix.<\/p>\n

Comas is Hispanic, 5-foot-3, weighs about 110 pounds, and has brown eyes and pink hair, according to police.<\/p>\n

She was last seen wearing a baggy white shirt that has a black logo, and black pants, police said in an update.<\/p>\n

The Avon Police Department released a surveillance photo of Comas, wearing the outfit.<\/p>\n

The image is from the day she disappeared and shows her at a QuikTrip store in Avon on January 11, according to police.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to the suspicious circumstances surrounding this ongoing investigation, we are unable to release additional details at this time as detectives continue to actively pursue leads related to Ms. Isabella Coma\u2019s disappearance,\u201d Avondale police said on January 14. \u201cWe greatly appreciate the community\u2019s ongoing support and encourage anyone with information to continue responding to her Turquoise Alert.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe tips received so far have been extremely helpful in moving this case forward,\u201d the police department added.<\/p>\n

Comas\u2019 disappearance comes about six months after the state launched its Turquoise Alert system as part of a \u201cnew statewide initiative,\u201d the state Department of Public Safety said in a July 10, 2025, news release.<\/p>\n

The measure was enacted as part of \u201cEmily\u2019s Law,\u201d which Governor Katie Hobbs<\/strong> signed into law on May 13, 2025.<\/p>\n
