If you’re a diehard Costco shopper, you’re probably always looking for less expensive dupes that rival your favorite name-brand products. One of the best is a Kirkland Signature dupe for Just Bare nuggets \u2014 in fact, this Costco copycat may actually be even better than the original. Kirkland Signature Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks are two dollars less than Just Bare’s nuggets at just $18.15 for a 4-pound bag. And like the Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks, they are antibiotic-free with no added hormones or steroids.<\/p>\n
When comparing this Costco dupe to its name-brand counterpart, we found that the ingredients and nutritional information were roughly the same for each brand. For the taste test, our reviewer prepared both nuggets according to the conventional oven heating instructions on the package; however, they left each brand of nuggets in for a couple extra minutes per their own preference. After trying both brands, our taster preferred the Kirkland Signature nuggets because the flavor was richer and they had a nice peppery zing that enhanced their overall taste. We aren’t the only ones who found Costco’s chicken nuggets to be an affordable alternative to the ones made by Just Bare. In a post to the subreddit r\/Costco, a member declared the Kirkland Signature Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks to be “a new freezer favorite.” They went on to say, “they pair well with any sauce or seasoning you like … I had them with some dipping sauces, but they’d be great in wraps, salads, or even tossed in buffalo or barbecue sauce.” Other commenters agreed, sharing their own creative meals to make with the frozen chicken nuggets.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One Redditor\u00a0said, “We air fry these then toss them in teriyaki or orange sauce and serve with rice and broccoli. Super cheap, easy meal.” Another user\u00a0recommended making a healthy,\u00a0air-fried chicken wrap, saying they buy “low cal tortillas, chop up some romaine, shave some parm, turn some black pep[per], dab some Caesar dressing on” for an easy weekday lunch or on-the-go meal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
If you’re looking for healthier or more affordable alternatives to fast food, Redditors have suggestions for that, too. You can use Kirkland Signature’s nuggets to make your own “knock-off version of KFC Famous Bowls,” according to one commenter.\u00a0They make a great Chick-fil-A dupe, as well. Another\u00a0Redditor recommends\u00a0that shoppers\u00a0“air fry those [nuggets] and dip it chick fil a Polynesian sauce. Tastes just like chick fil a [sic].” Another takes it a step further and\u00a0claims,\u00a0“If you get Sister Schubert’s Parker House rolls, they are a PERFECT chick fil a breakfast mini biscuits DUPE.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
