Timothy Busfield<\/strong> has been accused of inappropriately touching two twin boys while working as a director on the set of The Cleaning Lady<\/em>. The West Wing<\/em> alum, 68, has not only denied the charges, but is insisting that the father of the alleged victims often encouraged the kids to come into direct physical contact with him, an arrest warrant obtained by Us Weekly<\/em> claims.<\/p>\n

While speaking with Officer Marvin Brown<\/strong>, Busfield allegedly told him that \u201cthe dad, Ronald, would make [the twins] hug him, and he didn\u2019t really want them to.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Friday, January 16, Alan Caudillo<\/strong>, who worked on the Fox crime drama as a cinematographer, appeared to echo the claims in new court documents obtained by Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOne major component could make or break Timothy Busfield\u2019s child sex abuse case. \u201cThe most decisive factor will be whether these boys were pressured or influenced by an adult to make allegedly false accusations against Busfield,\u201d Dave Ring, partner at Taylor & Ring in Los Angeles, told Us Weekly exclusively. Ring, who specializes in child [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe twins\u2019 parents were odd,\u201d Caudillo allegedly said at the time, noting that the father, who was named in the documents but who Us<\/em> has chosen not to identify, \u201ccreeped me out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The director of photography continued, \u201cHe was pushy and manipulative. He would force the twins to give me a hug every single time I saw him on set. He thought I was important, and it seemed like he wanted me to really like the boys. I always thought it was very creepy and unhealthy to force a child to give someone a hug. Ronnie was very overbearing. He had a power business, alpha-male attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Us<\/em> previously reported, Busfield was accused of inappropriately touching the boys on multiple occasions from 2022 to 2024 \u2014 to allegedly\u00a0 include picking the kids up, touching them in \u201cprivate areas,\u201d and tickling them.
One of the boys claimed he was \u201cvery afraid\u201d of Busfield and reportedly did not initially tell anyone about the alleged abuse \u201cbecause Tim was the director, and he feared Tim would get mad at him.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Busfield told police that it was \u201chighly likely that he would have\u201d come into physical contact with the children throughout their time on the show, he said he did not recall \u201covertly tickling the boys ever,\u201d or picking them up. He did admit to picking up another child actor on set, noting there was \u201cno protocol\u201d for touching kids on set.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m always around people, right? It would be, you know, in front of the parents. There would never be a weird moment about it,\u201d he said, per the arrest warrant. \u201cI don\u2019t really remember picking those boys up. I remember picking up the boy who followed them. I\u2019d pick him up and he\u2019d be giggling and that would sort of get him ready to act.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the allegations, the Thirtysomething<\/em> actor was dropped by his former talent agency, Innovative Artists.<\/p>\n

New Mexico police issued a warrant for Busfield\u2019s arrest on two counts of criminal misconduct against a minor on January 9. The director turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday, January 13. He\u2019s since maintained that all accusations against him \u201care completely false,\u201d according to his lawyer, Larry Stein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
