The support he had was incredible, and people followed him everywhere.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_z4kqwb-o_O-style_1tcxgp3-o_O-style_1pinbx1-o_O-style_48hmcm\" data-mm-id=\"_zyp3i0toz\">Rooney also expressed his condolences to Hatton\u2019s family and friends, saying: &#8220;I want to pay my condolences to his family and everyone who was really close to him. It\u2019s way too soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_z4kqwb-o_O-style_1tcxgp3-o_O-style_1pinbx1-o_O-style_48hmcm\" data-mm-id=\"_cd3vapk6d\">The former Manchester United and England striker shared that he received the news of Hatton\u2019s death shortly after playing in a legends exhibition match for Manchester United in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_z4kqwb-o_O-style_1tcxgp3-o_O-style_1pinbx1-o_O-style_48hmcm\" data-mm-id=\"_0b1lln4kv\">&#8220;It hasn\u2019t fully kicked in yet,&#8221; Rooney added. &#8220;It\u2019s devastating. RIP Hitman.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_z4kqwb-o_O-style_1tcxgp3-o_O-style_1pinbx1-o_O-style_48hmcm\" data-mm-id=\"_egxm0gmtp\">Roy Keane, Micah Richards, and countless others from the football world also expressed their sorrow, as did Tyson Fury from the boxing community. The heavyweight champion shared his grief on Instagram, saying, &#8220;Rip to the legend @rickyhatton may he rip. There will only ever be 1 Ricky Hatton.
