Cesc Fabregas hailed Maurizio Sarri as a \u201cgenius\u201d after Como\u2019s emphatic 3-0 win away to Lazio, as the Spanish coach reflected on a landmark victory and the ideas behind his rapidly developing side.<\/p>\n

Como stunned Lazio at the Olimpico with a dominant display built on technical quality and attacking intelligence, led by Martin Baturina and a brace from Nico Paz.<\/p>\n

Fabregas: \u2018Not just about how much we\u2019ve spent\u2019<\/h2>\n

Speaking after the match, Fabregas stressed that the performance was the result of shared footballing principles rather than spending power.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m glad you mentioned that it\u2019s not just about how much we\u2019ve spent,\u201d Fabregas explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat matters is how much the players earn and how they grow. When players understand football in the same way, the game belongs to them, not the coach. I don\u2019t believe in robotic football.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fabregas underlined how players such as Perrone, Da Cunha, Caqueret, Nico Paz and Baturina thrive because of their creativity and shared vision. \u201cThey understand each other and the spaces. That gives you a completely different perception of the game,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Lazio 0-3 Como \u2013 Fabregas praises \u2018genius\u2019 Sarri<\/h2>\n

The former Arsenal midfielder also reserved special words for his opposite number. \u201cMaurizio is a genius,\u201d Fabregas said of Maurizio Sarri. \u201cHe proved it in Italy and in England with us at Chelsea. I\u2019m always happy to see him and I still use many of the ideas he taught me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fabregas admitted the win was even more important after a recent setback. \u201cLosing to Milan and then reacting four days later against a strong team is not easy,\u201d he added. \u201cThat\u2019s why this result means so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
