\n\tK-content remains the most-watched genre on Netflix bar English-language film and TV, and a showcase of the streamer\u2019s new Korea content points to a busy 2026.<\/p>\n
\n\tWith billions of dollars already ploughed into Korean originals, all of the 34 series or films on the slate revealed yesterday have been previously announced, but a launch schedule for the year was provided. <\/p>\n
\n\tNetflix is, of course, coming off of the huge success of Squid Game<\/em> Season 3. The survival drama became the streamer\u2019s fourth-most watched series of all-time, behind only its predecessor seasons and Wednesday<\/em> Season 1.<\/p>\n \n\tSpeaking to press yesterday during an Asia Pacific showcase, Netflix\u2019s Vice President of Content for Asia (ex-India), Minyoung Kim, told journalists the volume, scope and impact of Netflix\u2019s K-dramas had \u201cmade possible\u201d by the heavy local investment.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe gave K-drama fans more of what they loved, but invested in differentiated new stories that took K-content fandom to the next level,\u201d he added. \u201cEven outside APAC, we have helped to ensure local authenticity sits at the heart of Netflix series. For example, One Piece<\/em> was a true collaboration between the U.S., Korea and Japan teams to create a truly global series that was underpinned in Japanese storytelling and imagery.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAs for the 2026 line-up, Netflix announced first quarter launches include Single\u2019s Inferno<\/em> Season 5, which debyts today, The Art of Sarah<\/em> on February 13., unscripted show Agents of Mystery 2<\/em>, also in February, and upcoming series Boyfriend on Demand<\/em>, feature Pavane<\/em> and Ready or Not: Texas<\/em>, another unscripted series, debuting on unspecified dates.<\/p>\n \n\tRomantic series Can This Love Be Translated?<\/em>, No Tail to Tell<\/em> and K-drama Undercover Miss Hong<\/em> have launched in recent days.<\/p>\n \n\tThe second quarter will see the debuts of dating show Better Late Than Single<\/em> Season 2, Bloodhounds<\/em> Season 2, feature Husbands in Action<\/em>, If Wishes Could Kill<\/em>, Jae-seok\u2019s B&B Rules!<\/em>, Notes From the Last Row<\/em>, Sold Out on You<\/em>, Teach You a Lesson<\/em>, The Wonderfools<\/em> and We Are All Trying Here<\/em>. Q3 sees the launches of Kian\u2019s Bizarre B&B<\/em> Season 2, Mission: Cross 2<\/em>, Mousetrap<\/em>, Our Sticky Love<\/em>, Take a Hike!<\/em>, The East Palace<\/em> and The Scandal<\/em>.<\/p>\n Then at the back end of the year in Q4, Netflix will launch Culinary Class War<\/em> Season 3, Dead-End<\/em> Job<\/em>, Possible Love<\/em> (working title), Road<\/em> (working title), Take Charge of My Heart<\/em>, Tantara<\/em> and The Devil\u2019s Plan<\/em> Season 3.<\/p>\n \n\tDuring the APAC showcase, Netflix\u2019s VP of Content for Korea, Don Kang, said: \u201cOver the past five years, more than 210 Korean titles have been ranked in the global top ten, and now, \u2018the most Korean story is the most global story\u2019 has become a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
