Written records from Jenny Slate and others show that Justin Baldoni gave a lot of women the heebie-jeebies.<\/p>\n
Now, we\u2019re seeing a text message in court records where Taylor Swift weighs in.<\/p>\n

(Photo Credit: JULIEN DE ROSA\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u2018I think this b\u2013ch knows something is coming\u2019<\/h2>\n On Tuesday, January 20, unsealed text messages from Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni\u2019s legal battle shed light on yet another<\/em> person who didn\u2019t care for the guy.<\/p>\nTaylor Swift had texted a particularly heated line about the It Ends With Us<\/em> director.<\/p>\n\u201cI think this bitch knows something is coming because he\u2019s gotten out his tiny violin,\u201d Taylor wrote, according to NBC News<\/em>.<\/p>\nLively\u2019s attorneys have confirmed the text\u2019s content. The texts are from a December 4 & 5, 2024 conversation.<\/p>\n
However, Baldoni\u2019s team claims that the text was discussing the then-upcoming New York Times<\/em> article exposing his smear campaign. Personally, however, she had one tie to the film \u2014 her friendship with Lively.<\/p>\n
Team Lively commented: \u201cThe newly unsealed, damning documents show the consistent reaction numerous women, cast, crew, executives, partners, co-host and even his own PR team had working with Justin Baldoni.\u201d<\/p>\n
That line is not merely a reference to Taylor\u2019s text. (Photo Credit: Cindy Ord\/Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u2018Justin is truly a false ally\u2019<\/h2>\n Perhaps most jarring of all came statements from Jenny Slate that, in no uncertain terms, made it clear how she felt about Baldoni.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis has really been a disturbing shoot,\u201d she wrote in her own text messages in 2023, \u201cand I\u2019m one of many who feel this way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Slate continued: \u201cBlake and I have both complained directly to Ange [production executive Andrea Giannetti] at Sony (and they agree w us btw).\u201d<\/p>\n
She roasted him, describing: \u201cJustin is truly a false ally and I\u2019m unwilling to do anything that promotes the image that he\u2019s crafting as a \u2018male feminist\u2019 \u2026 like \u2026 honestly I have no words to describe what a fraud he is.\u201d<\/p>\n
Slate obliterated Baldoni, writing: \u201cI honestly have never ever encountered anything like this dude. (Photo Credit: Gareth Cattermole\/Gareth Cattermole\/Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nEven the author of It Ends With Us<\/em>, Colleen Hoover, had her own written account of wanting to avoid the dude at the premiere event for the film.<\/p>\n\u201cAm I going to be comfortable if Justin is there?\u201d she asked, as if rephrasing someone\u2019s question.<\/p>\n
Hoover continued: \u201cNo, things are beyond uncomfortable at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n
Actress Isabela Ferrer also spoke in a deposition on Baldoni referring to an intimate scene as \u201chot.\u201d Sometimes, that\u2019s genuine feedback in a creative project \u2014 but that\u2019s not how it came across.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt didn\u2019t feel appropriate for a work environment,\u201d Ferrer expressed. It happens. Sometimes, the personalities are incompatible, the vibes are bad, and people just butt heads.<\/p>\n
But that doesn\u2019t mean that one person might not actually \u2014 and perhaps unintentionally \u2014 be repeatedly committing misconduct in the workplace. <\/p>\n
As we\u2019ve seen, Lively is far from the only woman to have taken issue with Baldoni.<\/p>\n
Some may argue that women are simply echoing Lively\u2019s claims, but that\u2019s not what the timeline of events is adding up to. <\/p>\n
Remember, Jenny Slate\u2019s texts come from the year before any of the drama went public. And she filed her own grievance over a separate <\/em>issue during production.<\/p>\nIt is likely that Baldoni sees himself as a good guy who\u2019s being misunderstood.
