Net-Flix. And it’ll have your browsing preferences shaken, not stirred. Quips like those are probably flying around the streaming service today, as it’s just added every significant James Bond film ever to its service.

What does that mean? Well, it just added 26 of the 27 movies ever made. The one it’s missing is 1967’s Casino Royale starring David Niven as Bond, which most people don’t really count anyway. So, that aside, every film just arrived on the streamer, from Sean Connery’s 1962 original, Dr. No, all the way up until Daniel Craig’s 2021 No Time To Die. The title of which, spoiler alert, was not accurate.

Having written a streaming column for the better part of a decade (The Nerd’s Watch! Check it out!) I can say that having all of the Bond films on a single streaming service is exceedingly rare. It’s probably happened before at some point, but, usually, it’s all of them up to the most recent one or two, which are in a different basket in terms of rights. Or, a streamer gets like four or five random ones, and that’s it.

So this is a pretty big deal. It’s an even bigger deal because it’s Netflix—the biggest streamer in the world—and it comes at a time when one of Netflix’s direct competitors, Amazon, owns the franchise. (At the moment, all the Bond films, including the first Casino Royale, are technically available on Amazon’s Prime Video, but not on its free streaming service. At least, not at the moment.)

There’s no word on how long the Bond films will be available on Netflix, but usually they stay on here at least a few months. But they most certainly won’t be on there like diamonds (forever). So if you want to go back through the years with 007, it’s time to get on it.

Of course, these films will remain the only James Bond films for at least two or three more years. Director Denis Villeneuve is attached to direct the next film in the franchise, with a new actor playing the lead. He’ll get fully started on that long process in early 2027, once he’s completed work on his next film, Dune: Part Three.

Want more io9 news?
