Chris Noth<\/strong> opened up about how his friendship with Sex and the City<\/em> costar Sarah Jessica Parker<\/strong> came to an end after he was accused of sexual assault.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not friends,\u201d Noth, 71, said of Parker, 60, in a teaser clip for the Monday, January 26, episode of the \u201cReally Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson\u201d podcast, per People<\/em>. \u201cI think that\u2019s pretty obvious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noth explained that the disconnect occurred when Parker and fellow Sex and the City<\/em> costars Cynthia Nixon<\/strong> and Kristin Davis<\/strong> released a statement supporting the alleged victim. (Noth was accused of sexual assault in 2021 and he has vehemently denied the allegations.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe statement that they put out \u2014 which was nothing more than brand management, really \u2014 I don\u2019t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising,\u201d he continued. \u201cBecause you need to call me and hear my side of this. You\u2019ve known me for many years, and we\u2019ve worked [together] for many years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth gave viewers one of the most iconic TV romances ever as Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big, respectively, on Sex and the City. The two were reportedly extremely close friends off screen for many years, with Noth publicly coming to Parker\u2019s defense when she fell out with their Sex and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to the statement, Parker, Nixon, 59, and Davis, 60, publicly distanced themselves from Noth. Noth was set to return for the Sex and the City<\/em> revival, And Just Like That<\/em>. However, he was fired amid the allegations and his character was killed off in the series premiere.<\/p>\n

Speaking with host Kara Mayer Robinson, Noth called the move from Parker and his other costars \u201cmore Hollywood than Hollywood,\u201d adding that he wishes that they had reached out to him for his side of the story.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut before you make that statement, you know me, you\u2019ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd that didn\u2019t happen, and that was too bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noth explained there was \u201csomething gained\u201d and \u201csomething lost\u201d from the fallout.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s gained is good. You know where people stand and you know who your real friends are and who they\u2019re not. That\u2019s important to know,\u201d he shared. \u201cI just know if it had been on the other foot, I wouldn\u2019t have done that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noth added that if Parker had been in a similar situation, he would have \u201cabsolutely\u201d reached out to hear her \u201cside.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was hurtful, and it really affected everything,\u201d he said, seemingly referring to his abrupt exit from And Just Like That.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Parker for comment.<\/p>\n

Noth played Parker\u2019s love interest Mr. Big on Sex and the City<\/em> from 1998 to 2004. He reprised his role for the film adaptation of the beloved series and its sequel.<\/p>\n

In the comments section, one user wrote, \u201cYou mean f*** sjp & her award right? Lol,\u201d referring to Parker recently receiving the Carol Burnett Award at the 2026 Golden Globes. Noth, for his part, replied, \u201cRight.\u201d<\/p>\n
