The star, who has never been afraid to dabble in a new hairstyle\u2014like a faux pixie at the Met Gala, for example\u2014just debuted a new ponytail configuration and we’re having so much fun examining every detail and figuring out the mechanics behind the shape and style.<\/p>\n
Kidman attended the premiere of her upcoming TV series Margot’s Got Money Troubles,<\/em> based on the popular book by Rufi Thorpe, in a hairstyle that is best described as a ponytail-plus. Hairstylist Adir Abergel, who frequently works with Kidman, pulled the actor’s long, strawberry-blonde hair up and twisted the top portion into a medium-sized knot right at the crown of her head, pinning it in place. From the front, you’d assume Kidman was wearing her hair in a French twist, but no! Abergel left the lengths loose, descending from the base of the twist like the tail of a ponytail, and styled them in soft waves that spilled down just past Kidman’s shoulders. Is it a twist? Is it a ponytail? Is it a half-updo? Yes, yes, and yes!
