President Donald Trump\u00a0<\/strong>went absolutely scorched earth on Pope Leo XIV\u00a0<\/strong>in a Sunday night social media post, slamming the pontiff for his recent criticism of the Iran war and on a number of topics spanning from crime to COVID-19.<\/p>\n Trump \u2014 in a lengthy post on Truth Social \u2014 told the pope he\u2019s had enough of his denunciations.<\/p>\n The president said Pope Leo had \u201cterrible\u201d thoughts on foreign policy and was \u201cWEAK\u201d on both crime and nuclear weapons.\u00a0He also took credit for the Chicago-born pope becoming the first American pontiff last year.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I\u2019m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History,\u201d the president said. \u201cLeo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump continued, \u201che wasn\u2019t on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn\u2019t in the White House, Leo wouldn\u2019t be in the Vatican.\u201d<\/p>\n The president then pulled the pope\u2019s family into the beef.<\/p>\n Trump said he liked Leo\u2019s brother Louis Prevost <\/strong>\u201cmuch better\u201d because he was \u201call MAGA\u201d \u2014 echoing what he said last year, when he applauded Prevost for being a \u201cmajor MAGA fan.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n The president ended his rant by telling Pope Leo to\u00a0use \u201cCommon Sense\u201d and to \u201cstop catering to the Radical Left.\u201d<\/p>\n You can Trump\u2019s full post below:<\/p>\n Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about \u201cfear\u201d of the Trump Administration, but doesn\u2019t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart.<\/p>\n I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA. He gets it, and Leo doesn\u2019t! I don\u2019t want a Pope who thinks it\u2019s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon.
