\n\tDavid Letterman is sharing his thoughts on CBS replacing The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em> with Byron Allen\u2018s Comics Unleashed<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tThe eye network unveiled its plans for its late-night schedule when Colbert signs off in May. CBS is selling the time slot to Allen, who would move his comedy show up one hour starting on Friday, May 22.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThey don\u2019t want to spend any money, so they\u2019re going to make money,\u201d he said. \u201cThey charge Byron Allen some reasonable price. He sells all the advertising for his Comics Unleashed<\/em>, and it\u2019ll be, I think, 90 minutes or two hours of comics talking about funny stuff.\u201c<\/p>\n \n\tHe added: \u201cThe show is a pretty good idea. It\u2019s all panel. Nobody\u2019s doing any stand-up, except they\u2019re seated doing stand-up.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tComics Unleashed <\/em>has been airing at 12:35 a.m., following After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson<\/em>. It will move to 11:35 p.m. for the 2026-27 season as part of an expanded time-buy agreement. The roundtable-style comedy talk show, which is hosted by Allen, has featured comedians including Sebastian Maniscalco, Tiffany Haddish, Gabriel Iglesias, Cedric the Entertainer and Nate Bargatze.<\/p>\n \n\tIn a statement about the panel show, Allen said: \u201cI created and launched Comics Unleashed<\/em> 20 years ago so my fellow comedians could have a platform to do what we all love \u2013 make people laugh,\u201d said Allen, founder, chairman and CEO of Allen Media Group. \u201cI truly appreciate CBS\u2019 confidence in me by picking up our two-hour comedy block of Comics Unleashed <\/em>and Funny You Should Ask<\/em>, because the world can never have enough laughter.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWatch Letterman in the video below.<\/p>\n \n
