\n\tEXCLUSIVE:<\/strong> Nyle DiMarco has boarded feature documentary The Way We Move<\/em>, chronicling the life and work of acclaimed American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter Amber Galloway, as executive producer following its buzzy debut in SXSW last month.<\/p>\n \n\tGalloway has made her mark specializing in live music events, signing at concerts for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Ray, A$AP Rocky, Red Hot Chili Peppers, to making music accessible to the Deaf community.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tThe doc follows Galloway as she transmits her mission to fresh recruits, Julian Ortiz and Angela \u201cAV\u201d Vilavong, setting them on a path towards some of the most iconic stages in live music such as Austin City Limits, the Grammys, and the Super Bowl, where Ortiz recently delivered a charismatic performance as part of Bad Bunny\u2019s half-time show.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tIt is produced by Paris-based Wagram Productions,\u00a0a subsidiary of indie music label Wagram Stories; What\u2019s Up Films, the Oscar-winning production company of Matthieu Belghiti and Jean-Xavier de Lestrade, and Paris and L.A.-based Autopilot.<\/p>\n \n\tBorn into a multigenerational Deaf family and a graduate of the Washington-based Gallaudet University, specialized in educating the Deaf and hard of hearing, DiMarco first broke out as the first Deaf winner of America\u2019s Next Top Model<\/em> in 2015. <\/p>\n \n\tHe then forged a career as a model and actor and recently broke into directing as the co-director of 2025 Sundance selected documentary Deaf President Now!<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tThe multi-hyphenate Emmy-nominated artist and Deaf community advocate DiMarco said the documentary touched on many issues dear to his own heart.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cAs a Deaf filmmaker, I\u2019ve spent my career asking what it means to make culture truly accessible. The Way We Move<\/em> answers that question beautifully,\u201d DiMarco said.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cPeople assume music doesn\u2019t belong to the Deaf community,\u201d he continued. \u201cThis film doesn\u2019t just challenge that assumption but dismantles it.
