News that Patrick Schwarzenegger<\/strong> will appear in the upcoming film adaptation of Emily Henry<\/strong>\u2019s Beach Read<\/em> is receiving mixed reviews from devoted readers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited for this!!!\u201d Schwarzenegger, 32, captioned an Instagram post on Tuesday, April 14, confirming that he would be taking on the role of Gus in the rom-com. \u201cFirst \u2014 let me say thank you to @emilyhenrywrites for the opportunity!\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI will do everything possible to make the fans happy & proud and bring your brilliant writing to life. PS \u2014 my wife is obsessed with you!\u201d<\/p>\n

He also tagged costar Phoebe Dynevo<\/strong>r, who will be starring as January in the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait to bring these characters to life with you. It was a pleasure working opposite you through these chemistry reads,\u201d Schwarzenegger continued, shouting out writer Yulin Kuang<\/strong> for her \u201cdirection\u201d and \u201cconversations about these characters and their stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Schwarzenegger\u2019s post, the comments section quickly filled with posts of support from many of his famous friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cI LIKE THIS,\u201d Taylor Lautner<\/strong> wrote. Rob Lowe<\/strong>\u2019s son, Johnny Lowe<\/strong>, added, \u201cIs ur beach bod ready?\u201d<\/p>\n

Schwarzenegger also received comments from fans of Henry\u2019s book, who were quick to share their own congratulatory messages.<\/p>\n
