\n\tTony and Emmy Award winner Billy Crystal will return to Broadway this fall in 860<\/em>, his new solo show named for the home he lost in the 2025 Palisades fires. Scott Ellis will direct.<\/p>\n \n\tWritten and performed by Crystal, 860 <\/em>will play a strictly limited 12-week engagement at a Shubert Theater to be announced, beginning previews this October. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI am thrilled to return to Broadway this fall with this challenging new show,\u201d Crystal said in a statement. \u201c860<\/em> was the address of the home we lost in the Palisades fires. We lived there for 46 years. I invite you to come inside 860 and I\u2019ll tell you all the funny and touching things that happened there, not only in my career but to our family.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tCrystal continued, \u201cIt\u2019s a joyous and heartfelt visit, about how with the love of family and friends and your inner strength, you can get through tough times. I look forward to returning to Broadway and welcoming audiences to 860.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t860<\/em> will be produced by Janice Crystal, James L. Nederlander, Larry Magid, and Face Productions. Additional production and creative team members will be announced in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n \n\tCrystal made his Broadway debut in 2004 with the original, Tony-winning production of his one-man show 700 Sundays<\/em>, at the time the highest grossing non-musical production in Broadway history. Taped in front of a live audience for an HBO special that aired in April 2014, 700 Sundays <\/em>garnered four Emmy nominations and was released on DVD that fall. <\/p>\n \n\tCrystal returned to Broadway in 2022 with Mr. Saturday Night<\/em>, a musical adaptation of his 1992 film. The musical comedy received five Tony nominations including Best Musical; Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Crystal); Best Book of a Musical (Crystal, Lowell Ganz, Babaloo Mandel); Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Shoshana Bean) and Best Original Score (Jason Robert Brown and Amanda Green). The cast album was Grammy nominated.<\/p>\n \n\tDirector Ellis is currently the Interim Artistic Director of Roundabout Theatre Company, and his many Broadway credits include the current Fallen Angels<\/em> as well as Art, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Doubt, Take Me Out<\/em> (Tony Award, Best Revival), Tootsie, Kiss Me Kate<\/em> and numerous others.<\/p>\n
