Taylor Frankie Paul<\/strong> will not be charged in her latest alleged domestic violence dispute against ex Dakota Mortensen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter reviewing reports and evidence submitted to the Draper Police Department and West Jordan Police Department, the Salt Lake County District Attorney\u2019s Office has declined to file charges against Taylor Frankie Paul,\u201d district attorney Sim Gill<\/strong>\u2019s office said in a statement obtained by Us Weekly<\/em> on Tuesday, April 14.<\/p>\n

Deadline<\/em>\u00a0was first to report.<\/p>\n

News broke on Monday, March 16, that Taylor, 31, and Dakota, 33, were involved in an alleged dispute that halted production of season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em>. A spokesperson for Utah\u2019s Draper City Police Department confirmed to Us<\/em>\u00a0at the time that there was an open \u201cdomestic assault investigation\u201d into the matter. According to the authorities, allegations were \u201cmade in both directions,\u201d and \u201ccontact was made with involved parties on [February] 24th and 25th.\u201d<\/p>\n

Three years earlier, Taylor was arrested following a separate altercation with Dakota. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault at the time, while additional charges of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief were dismissed.<\/p>\n

After the 2023 dispute, Dakota claimed in a Daily Mail<\/em> interview that Taylor would never hurt anyone \u201cintentionally.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s a good mom, she\u2019s going through a lot in her life right now. Taylor\u2019s been struggling, it\u2019s been a hard year for her. She is racked with guilt [over] her cheating scandal that cost her her marriage,\u201d he said, referencing her divorce from Tate Paul<\/strong> \u2014 with whom she shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5 \u2014 following her soft-swinging confession.<\/p>\n

In March 2024, Taylor and Dakota welcomed their son, Ever. Later that year, she reflected on her arrest during season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting arrested, it was the worst night of my life. I ended up being charged with aggravated assault with three years of probation,\u201d she admitted. \u201cAfter the arrest, I was under so much stress. I was filmed leaving the jail and then that was immediately on the internet. It was a blessing in disguise. It helped me wake up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Taylor and Dakota gave their relationship another shot after her arrest, the on-off couple split in 2025, and she agreed to become the lead on season 22 of The Bachelorette<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no other reason for me to do this other than I wanted to get outside of Utah and the toxicity that I\u2019m in and venture off and really do something for myself,\u201d Taylor said in her Us<\/em> cover story ahead of the ABC reality dating show\u2019s March 22 premiere.<\/p>\n

At the time, Taylor also addressed the ongoing strain between her and Dakota.<\/p>\n
