The monarch is due to travel to America later this year to mark the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.<\/p>\n Referencing Trump\u2019s recent Truth Social post about Iran, in which he threatened that \u201ca whole civilisation will die,\u201d Ed Davy said these were words he \u201cnever thought\u201d would come from an American president.<\/p>\n \u201cThese words are a stark reminder of how reckless, immoral, and completely outside the bounds of international law this president is,\u201d he went on. To that end, the politician argued that Trump is \u201cno friend\u201d of the UK. He also suggested that he is \u201cno leader of the free world\u201d either.<\/p>\n Next, the Liberal Democrat accused Trump of being a \u201cdangerous and corrupt gangster.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd that is how we must treat him,\u201d he went on, before calling on the British PM to take action.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, will the Prime Minister advise the King to call off his state visit to Washington before it\u2019s too late?\u201d Ed asked. \u201cBecause I really fear for what Trump might say or do while our King is forced to stand by his side.
