AMC+ and Shudder have dropped the trailer for The Terror: Devil in Silver,<\/em> ahead of its May 7 premiere.<\/p>\n \n\tThe latest installment of the AMC anthology series, based on Victor LaValle\u2019s novel, stars Dan Stevens as Pepper \u2013 a working-class moving man who, through a combination of bad luck and a bad temper, finds himself wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital \u2013 an institution filled with those society would rather forget. There, he must contend with patients working against him, doctors harboring grim secrets, and perhaps even the Devil himself. As Pepper navigates a hellscape where nothing is as it seems, he finds that the only path to freedom is to face the entity which thrives on the suffering within New Hyde\u2019s walls \u2013 but doing so may prove that the worst demons of all live inside him.<\/p>\n \n\tThe trailer opens with Stevens\u2019 Pepper being dragged away by police after he gets into a fight with a woman\u2019s ex-partner. \u201cIs this a hospital?\u201d, a hand-cuffed Pepper asks. \u201cKind of\u201d is the reply. And the terror begins.<\/p>\n \n\tThe six-episode limited series is executive produced by\u00a0Ridley Scott,writers and showrunners\u00a0Chris Cantwell\u00a0(Halt and Catch Fire<\/em>), author LaValle\u00a0(The Changeling<\/em>) and Emmy\u00a0nominee\u00a0Karyn Kusama\u00a0(Yellowjackets<\/em>), who directs the first two episodes.<\/p>\n \n\tAlongside Stevens the ensemble cast includes\u00a0Judith Light, Aasif\u00a0Mandvi, Hampton Fluker, CCH Pounder,\u00a0b, Chinaza Uche, Stephen Root, Hayward Leach, John Benjamin Hickey, Michael Aronov, Philip Ettinger and\u00a0Marin Ireland.<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tThe Terror: Devil in Silver<\/em>\u00a0is executive produced by Scott, David W.
