Christina Applegate\u2019s<\/strong> representative has responded to reports the actress has been hospitalized amid her battle with MS.<\/p>\n

TMZ<\/em> reported on Thursday, April 16, that the Married\u2026 With Children<\/em> alum, 54, is currently staying in a Los Angeles hospital after being admitted in late March. It is unclear whether her hospitalization is due to her MS.<\/p>\n

Applegate\u2019s rep told Us Weekly<\/em> in a statement, \u201cI have no comment whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are. She\u2019s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Applegate has been candid about her battle with multiple sclerosis (MS) since she publicly revealed her diagnosis in August 2021.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tChristina Applegate has opened up about her daily battles with Multiple Sclerosis. Speaking on the Tuesday, November 5, episode of her \u201cMeSsy\u201d podcast, cohosted with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also suffers from the autoimmune disease, Applegate, 52, said she feels sharp pains \u201cevery single day.\u201d \u201cI lay in bed screaming,\u201d Applegate said while detailing how the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a strange journey,\u201d she wrote via X at the time. \u201cBut I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It\u2019s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a**hole blocks it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking to Variety<\/em> in November 2022, Applegate recalled experiencing symptoms while filming Netflix\u2019s Dead to Me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know what was happening to me. That January, my toes got numb, and I ignored it. The balls of my foot got numb, and I ignored it. All of a sudden, I\u2019d be, like, falling over,\u201d she explained. \u201cPeople were like, \u2018Oh, it\u2019s just neuropathy.\u2019 At this point, they had to take me with a wheelchair to set because I couldn\u2019t walk if the set was far. I was sleeping all the time, and I gained 40 pounds \u2014 a lot of things happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
