Her recent statements do not reflect our commitment to professionalism or uphold our principles of ethical conduct,\u201d\u00a0the outlet said\u00a0in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Froyd acknowledged her firing and stated that she has no regrets about her calling out Russini:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to acknowledge the statements put out about me recently and that I am also no longer with USA TODAY SMG,\u201d Froyd wrote, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI regret zero of what I said and stand beside it. If you want to talk, my messages are open. My email is operative, too.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The biggest thing about all this that pains me is that other women don\u2019t feel like they can speak out because I\u2019ve been \u201creprimanded.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oh yes. I also find it so interesting that a Nancy Armour column was able to be published about Dianna Russini setting women back on USAT, but that my comments as a freelancer on my own social media about her were not fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe biggest thing about all this that pains me is that other women don\u2019t feel like they can speak out because I\u2019ve been \u2018reprimanded,&#8217;\u201d Froyd wrote in a separate tweet, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh yes. You can. Do it. I\u2019ll stand with you. God, don\u2019t you hear \u2018under my thumb\u2019 playing somewhere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBe bold and speak out. Will it make a martyr out of you? Maybe. But some things are worth it and some are not. In her resignation letter, Russini denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sure you were told to submit this or that you\u2019d get fired instead,\u201d Froyd tweeted on Thursday, referring to Russini\u2019s letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t let the door hit you on the way out\u2026We know who you really are and what you\u2019ve been up to for years.
