\n\tWith the AI discourse spreading in Hollywood, Reese Witherspoon seems intent on making a seat for women at the table.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Oscar winner and Hello Sunshine co-founder recently explained why she\u2019s taken it upon herself to \u201clearn as much as I possibly can about AI,\u201d claiming that women\u2019s jobs are three times as likely to be automated by AI.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cWe don\u2019t want to be left behind. So\u2026do you want to learn with me?\u201d Witherspoon captioned a video in part.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cI think it\u2019s time to learn about AI,\u201d she prefaced in the clip. \u201cI was with about 10 women at a book club yesterday, and I said to the 10 of them, \u2018How many of you guys use AI?\u2019 And only three of them used AI. And then, I said, \u2018How many of the three of you feel like you really know what you\u2019re doing or they\u2019re using it the right way?\u2019 And there was only one person. So, if three out of 10 women are the only ones using AI, that means 70% of that group is not keeping up.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tWitherspoon added, \u201cThe thing I\u2019ve learned about technology is, if you don\u2019t get a little bit of understanding from the very beginning, it just speeds past you. So, you have to have little bits of learning just to keep up. And let\u2019s get real, our kids are all using this every single day. I think we should learn the basics together, and learn some really good tools that are going to make our everyday lives easier and better. Do you want me to share what I\u2019m learning with you? It\u2019s time, people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe use of AI in Hollywood continues to be a hot-button topic. Meanwhile, SAG-AFTRA has endorsed the Trump administration\u2019s AI policy framework, which calls for Congress to enact legislation that includes parental controls, intellectual property rights protection, First Amendment protections, expanding AI workforce development, allowing data centers to generate their own power, and removing legal barriers that limit AI innovation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
