\n\tDavid Harbour is the latest actor reporting for duty on Lionsgate\u2018s upcoming Rambo<\/em> prequel movie.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Golden Globe nominee has joined the cast of John Rambo<\/em>, starring in the Jalmari Helander-helmed origin story as Major Trautman, commanding officer of the titular soldier played by Noah Centineo.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom a screenplay by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvan, John Rambo<\/em> takes audiences back, years before the events of First Blood<\/em>, diving deep into the roots and experiences that forged one of the big screen\u2019s most enduring and complex characters.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Centineo\u2019s casting as the character originated onscreen by Sylvester Stallone in 1982, John Rambo also stars yao (Sinners<\/em>), Jason Tobin (A Thousand Blows<\/em>), Quincy Isaiah (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty<\/em>), Jefferson White (Yellowstone<\/em>) and Tayme Thapthimthong (The White Lotus<\/em>).<\/p>\n

\n\tBased on David Morrell\u2019s 1972 novel, Stallone first played John Rambo in First Blood<\/em> (1982), which also starred Richard Crenna as the Vietnam veteran\u2019s mentor, Colonel Sam Trautman. The pair reprised their roles in Rambo: First Blood Part II<\/em> (1985) and Rambo III<\/em> (1988). Crenna died in 2003, before Styllone went on to return in Rambo<\/em> (2008) and Rambo: Last Blood<\/em> (2019).<\/p>\n

\n\tStallone, who was also a co-writer on the first five films, signed on as en executive producer for John Rambo<\/em> last month, joining the Lionsgate, Millennium Media, Templeton Media and AGBO prequel as it filmed in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film\u2019s producers also include Kevin King Templeton and Les Weldon, Jonathan Yunger for Millennium Media, and Angela Russo-Otstot and Michael Disco for AGBO. The executive producers include Anthony & Joe Russo, Trevor Short, and Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk for Bonfire Legend, alongside Stallone. The film will be distributed by Lionsgate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
