In 2004, David and Victoria\u2019s marriage hit a rough patch after rumors swirled that the former soccer player had an affair. His former assistant Rebecca Loos<\/strong> claimed that she and David hooked up during his marriage to the Spice Girls singer. David has denied the allegations multiple times over the years. Victoria later shared that navigating the drama was the \u201chardest period\u201d of their relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes it felt like us against everybody else, but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn\u2019t really feel like we had each other either. Before Nicola and Brooklyn wed, the actress and Victoria seemingly had a close bond. However, rumors later circulated that the women were at odds over an incident with Nicola\u2019s wedding gown. Nicola originally planned on wearing a dress designed by her mother-in-law, but she ended up donning a Valentino gown instead for her 2022 nuptials.<\/p>\n

In October 2022, Nicola denied there was ever a \u201cfeud\u201d between her and Victoria.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it all started, and I\u2019ve said this before, because I didn\u2019t end up wearing Victoria\u2019s wedding dress,\u201d Nicola said in an interview with The Times<\/em>. \u201cBut the real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn\u2019s mom got to make that for me! The brothers sparked speculation of a feud after David posted a family photo of the group from his 50th birthday celebration. Romeo and Cruz were each joined by their respective girlfriends, Kim Turnbull<\/strong> and Jackie Apostel<\/strong>, while Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I thought I\u2019d start celebrating slightly early, such a special night in Miami,\u201d David wrote via Instagram in March 2025. \u201cSo lucky to have amazing friends and family to start the 50th celebrations with. Love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romeo reshared the photo on his social media page, captioning the post, \u201cFamily is everything. Love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it is unknown whether Romeo\u2019s message was meant to be a dig at his older brother, TMZ reported in April 2025 that the duo were not on speaking terms.<\/p>\n

Two months later, Cruz seemingly took his own jab at Brooklyn. A TikTok user trolled Cruz for playing guitar, commenting on his video, \u201cAre you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?\u201d Cruz replied, \u201cWrong brother mate\u201d in an apparent nod to Brooklyn\u2019s many career aspirations, from photography to cooking.<\/p>\n

The social media back-and-forth ended that summer, with Brooklyn claiming his brothers had blocked him \u201cout of nowhere.\u201d After fans noticed in December 2025 that David and Victoria were no longer following Brooklyn either, Cruz posted, \u201cThey woke up blocked \u2026 as did I.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after the second celebration, a source exclusively told Us<\/em> that Brooklyn requested his wife receive \u201cspecial treatment\u201d from his relatives, resulting in their birthday party absences.<\/p>\n

\u201cDavid and Victoria are over it,\u201d the insider stated. \u201cThey\u2019ve thrown in the towel over the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the source, Brooklyn and Nicole requested a \u201cseparate meetup\u201d with David for his birthday, which was turned down. \u201cDavid and Victoria just want to treat everyone the same and approach life like a family and the family does things a certain way,\u201d the insider added. \u201cBut Brooklyn isn\u2019t playing it like that, and everything is a drama. \u2026 They just tell the whole family there\u2019s a party, \u2018Here\u2019s the time, here\u2019s the date.\u2019 It\u2019s not that complicated. But there is a desire to mend on David and Victoria\u2019s part.\u201d<\/p>\n

The third source went on to note that Brooklyn\u2019s \u201chealthy relationship\u201d with Nicola has allegedly made him \u201cquestion his own family and upbringing.\u201d They continued, \u201cNicola and Brooklyn have a mutual desire for Brooklyn to explore his interests and grow as a person. That is what is causing the family rift.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> broke the news in August 2025 that Brooklyn and Nicola had renewed their vows \u2014 without David and Victoria in attendance. That October, a source shared that Brooklyn was \u201cfocused on living a peaceful, drama-free life with Nicola\u201d and had \u201cno interest in mending things\u201d with his family.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn confirmed as much in January 2026, when he issued a scathing, multi-slide statement via his Instagram Story, writing in part, \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family.\u201d<\/p>\n
