I was very clear about that because I\u2019m all about communication, and she was like, \u2018Oh, totally. I\u2019m down.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morris went on to explain she soon realized that the other woman appeared to want something a little more serious than the singer was prepared to offer \u2013 and the relationship rapidly went downhill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not kidding, within like, three weeks of this completely falling apart, it was lies, threats to my reputation and borderline extortion,\u201d Morris shared.<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cIt was pretty f***ed up. And for that to be my first experience, it was just so depressing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morris has previously spoken about navigating dating after coming out as bisexual in 2024 following her divorce from fellow singer <strong>Ryan Hurd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tiktok-embed\" cite=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@marenmorris\/video\/7629054564758506782\" data-video-id=\"7629054564758506782\" data-embed-from=\"oembed\" style=\"max-width:605px; min-width:325px;\">\n<section> @marenmorris <\/p>\n<p>bi trauma<\/p>\n<p> \u266c original sound \u2013 marenmorris <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI also have, like, confusion sometimes because I can connect with a woman, any woman within like two minutes,\u201d Morris said on Betches\u2019 \u201cU Up?\u201d podcast in May 2025. \u201cWe\u2019ll be talking about our childhoods. We\u2019ll be talking about the bully when we were 13. We will get into it so quickly. After giving birth, Morris detailed her emergency C-section after 30 hours of labor. \u201cI learned pretty quickly that night that having a plan for bringing a human into the world is a fool\u2019s errand,\u201d she wrote via Instagram. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cSometimes I just love a woman and we\u2019re friends. Then she\u2019s giving me a vibe of, like, she\u2019s gonna kiss me, and I feel like we\u2019re just friends, but I really connect with you on this emotionally deep level,\u201d Morris said. \u201cThat\u2019s where I sometimes have the hard delineation of romance versus friendship because women can connect so quickly and easily, which is a magical thing about us, but that\u2019s the comparison, I guess, to dating men.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morris finalized her divorce from country singer Hurd in January 2024, three months after filing.
