The Golden State Warriors\u2019 future is looking murky after the team\u2019s loss in the NBA play-in tournament, and head coach Steve Kerr<\/strong> seems to know it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s gonna happen next,\u201d said Kerr to players Stephen Curry <\/strong>and Draymond Gree<\/strong>n in a huddle on the sideline. \u201cBut I love you guys to death. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The heartfelt moment \u2014 picked up by a TV microphone \u2014 came in the waning seconds of a 111-96 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday, April 17, ending the Warriors\u2019 season.<\/p>\n

The final buzzer marked the end of Kerr\u2019s contract with the Warriors, and the 60-year-old said after the game that he\u2019s going to take a few weeks to mull over his future.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tStephen Curry added another major milestone to his Hall of Fame career on Thursday, March 12, when he connected on his 4,000th career three-pointer in his Golden State Warriors\u2019 130-104 win over the Sacramento Kings. Curry, who turns 37 on Friday, is the first player in NBA history to reach the milestone. \u201cIt\u2019s a clear [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen,\u201d Kerr said to reporters. \u201cI still love coaching, but I get it. These jobs all have an expiration date. There is a run that happens, and when the run ends, sometimes it\u2019s time for new blood and new ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI don\u2019t want to walk away from Steph. I\u2019m definitely not going and coaching somewhere else next year in the NBA. I would never walk away from Steph. But all this stuff has to be aligned and right. Those are all discussions that will be had.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curry, 38, joined the Warriors in 2009. Green, 36, was drafted by the team in 2012. Kerr took over as head coach in 2014, and together the three helped build one of the most dominant dynasties in NBA history.<\/p>\n

In the 12 seasons since Kerr joined Curry and Green in Golden State, the Warriors have won four NBA titles (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022). They\u2019ve reached the playoffs eight times and played in six NBA Finals.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf [my time is done], then I will be nothing but grateful for the most amazing opportunity any person could have to coach this franchise in front of our fans and to coach Steph Curry, [Draymond Green], the whole group,\u201d Kerr said. \u201cIt may still go on. It may not. I don\u2019t know at this point. But we all need to step away a little bit and then reconvene.\u201d<\/p>\n
