Prayers up for your healing, and for all those who are supporting it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Cohn previously battled breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI kept that secret for a long time,\u201d the actress told <span class=\"s1\"><i>People<\/i><\/span> in 2017. \u201cI\u2019ve always been an optimist, but the cancer metastasized. It kept spreading and coming back. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would. And then I\u2019d wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn\u2019t control any of this. I think I\u2019m a good actress, and I have a lot to offer. I\u2019m excited to see what I get to do next.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Cohn rose to fame playing Natalie on <i>The Facts of Life<\/i>, a sitcom set at the Eastland School for Young Women where caretaker Mrs. Garrett (<b>Charlotte Rae<\/b>) looked after Natalie and classmates Blair (<b>Lisa Whelchel<\/b>), Tootie (<b>Kim Fields<\/b>) and Jo (<b>Nancy McKeon<\/b>). The show ran from 1979 to 1988 and nearly spawned a spinoff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cYou know they were doing the live versions of <b>Norman Lear<\/b>\u2019s sitcoms with all these big stars? They did one of <i>Diff\u2019rent Strokes <\/i>and <i>Facts of Life,<\/i>\u201d Cohn<span class=\"s1\"> said on <i>Jeff Lewis Live<\/i><\/span><i> <\/i>in 2024. \u201cAfter that, Norman Lear \u2026 he called all of us and said, \u2018I knew you guys were still popular, but holy hell.
