New details have emerged about the alleged security threats that led Erika Kirk<\/strong> to cancel an appearance at a Turning Point USA event.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe specific threats were targeting her and her ability to get to and from the event,\u201d a source exclusively tells Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cHer security team felt that they could not protect her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kirk, 37, was scheduled to headline the University of Georgia event alongside Vice President JD Vance<\/strong>, but later withdrew \u2014 facing backlash from conservative commentator Candace Owens and more. Vance, meanwhile, made an appearance at the event. (Erika has served as chairwoman and CEO of Turning Point USA following the September 2025 assassination of husband and cofounder Charlie Kirk<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

Taking to X on Tuesday, April 14, just hours after Kirk, 37, confirmed she was canceling her appearance at the University of Georgia due to alleged security threats, Owens, 36, claimed [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The source explains that the alleged threats that led to Erika\u2019s cancellation \u201cwere not targeted at the venue,\u201d adding that \u201cthey had full confidence in the Secret Service\u201d to keep Vance \u201csafe.\u201d<\/p>\n
