Inter director Piero Ausilio confirms Barcelona haven\u2019t yet opened talks for Alessandro Bastoni, but \u2018if there\u2019s an interest, they know the telephone numbers\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n

La Liga giants Barcelona have set their sights on Inter and Italy star defender Bastoni.<\/p>\n

Multiple sources have reported that negotiations between the player\u2019s agent and the Catalans have already begun, but club-to-club talks have not yet taken place.<\/p>\n

\u201cBastoni has a contract with Inter and, as of today, I don\u2019t think any circumstances would suggest Bastoni moving away from Inter,\u201d Ausilio told reporters from Coverciano on Monday, via TMW.<\/p>\n

Monday\u2019s report from Mundo Deportivo suggested that Bastoni would either move to Barcelona or stay at Inter in the summer, despite interest from other big clubs in Europe, including Liverpool.<\/p>\n

According to Spanish sources, Bastoni is Barcelona\u2019s top target for their defence in 2026-27.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what they say. I know we are happy with Bastoni and what he has given to Inter. I\u2019m sure he has much more to give to Inter,\u201d Ausilio said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen, if there\u2019s an interest in Bastoni, they know the telephone numbers [to call]; they should do that instead of talking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Inter are close to winning the Scudetto, having a 12-point lead over second-placed Napoli with just five games remaining. The Nerazzurri are already looking for some potential reinforcements for next season, including Atalanta-owned wing-back Marco Palestra.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s an excellent footballer. He could fit into many teams, but currently, there\u2019s a strong club with a vision and a project, like Atalanta,\u201d Ausilio said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure he\u2019ll become an important player, firstly for Atalanta, then it will depend on what the market says and the future of this lad, who surely has great quality.\u201d<\/p>\n
