\n\tEXCLUSIVE:<\/strong> Kristi Cook, the entertainment journalist and founder of the pop culture platform\u00a0Spill Sesh, has struck an audio-video partnership for her podcast\u00a0Weekly Teacap<\/em> with\u00a0The Roost.<\/p>\n \n\tThe deal, which lasts one year, is designed to scale the show\u2019s advertising, sponsorship and distribution opportunities.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Roost, the podcast network that hosts podcasts such as This Past Weekend with Theo Von<\/em>, will provide\u00a0Weekly Teacap<\/em> with sales representation and strategic support across monetization, hosting and platform distribution. Cook will retain full ownership of the intellectual property and creative control of the show.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThis partnership is incredibly exciting,\u201d said Cook. \u201cThe Roost really understands the vision for\u00a0Weekly Teacap<\/em>\u00a0and how fast this space moves. In addition to\u00a0Teacap<\/em>, Cook is the co-founder and co-host of\u00a0Popity<\/em>, a Studio71 podcast.<\/p>\n \n\tCook first came to attention as the creator of\u00a0Spill Sesh, a YouTube\u2019 pop culture commentary channel that now has nearly 500 million lifetime views. She revealed herself after five years anonymously running the channel in a New York Times interview.<\/p>\n
