Martin Lawrence<\/strong>\u2019s family expanded in April 2026 when his eldest daughter, Jasmin Lawrence<\/strong>, welcomed her first baby with husband Eric Murphy<\/strong>, the son of Eddie Murphy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey just had a baby girl,\u201d Eddie confirmed to E! News<\/em>. \u201cThey just had her two weeks ago, or a week ago. Yeah, Ari Skye.\u201d<\/p>\n

Martin shared the news of Jasmin\u2019s pregnancy in February 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a blessing to start the day! My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude after the announcement of my first grandchild!\u201d he wrote via Instagram alongside Jasmin\u2019s black-and-white maternity photo. \u201cWatching @jasmin_lawrence and @ericmurphy777 begin this journey into parenthood means everything to me. Family is everything \u2014 and this moment is nothing less than a blessing from God. Welcome to the next generation!\u201d<\/p>\n

Patricia Southall<\/h2>\n

Martin Lawrence was married to Patricia Southall from 1995 to 1997. Southall is the founder of Treasure You, a women\u2019s support group devoted to encouraging women to find their passion in life, and the CEO of Pat Smith Enterprise. Southall won Miss Virginia USA in late 1993 and placed first runner-up in the Miss USA 1994 pageant.<\/p>\n

Following her split from Lawrence, Southall married football star Emmitt Smith<\/strong> in April 2000. The pair share three children together. Southall is also a stepmother to Smith\u2019s daughter, Rheagen<\/strong>, from a previous relationship.<\/p>\n

Lawrence and Southall have maintained a positive coparenting relationship since their split. The businesswoman praised her ex via Instagram in 2023.<\/p>\n

Her onscreen credits include Bad Boys for Life<\/em> \u2014 a sequel to Martin\u2019s famous film \u2014 and Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules<\/em> and Family Time<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Jasmin got engaged to Eddie Murphy\u2019s son Eric Murphy in November 2024 after three years of dating. The couple tied the knot in May 2025 and welcomed daughter Ari in April 2026.<\/p>\n

Shamicka Gibbs<\/h2>\n

Martin Lawrence\u2019s second wife, Shamicka Gibbs, is an entrepreneur, chef and TV personality who appeared on the VH1 reality series, Hollywood Exes<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Lawrence and Gibbs began dating in 1997, shortly after his divorce from Patricia Southall. The pair welcomed daughter Iyanna in 2000, followed by daughter Amara in 2002. Lawrence and Gibbs tied the knot in 2010 and later divorced in 2012.<\/p>\n

Lawrence and Gibbs have remained friends over the years, even appearing hand-in-hand at the Bad Boys: Ride or Die<\/em> premiere in 2024 alongside their daughters.<\/p>\n

Iyanna Lawrence<\/h2>\n
