Jonathan David\u2019s future at Juventus remains uncertain, but according to Tuttosport, coach Luciano Spalletti is willing to give the Canadian star a second chance, making further assessments during the summer pre-season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tuttosport reports that Juventus coach Spalletti remains uncertain about David\u2019s future at the Allianz Stadium.<\/p>\n

The Canada international has not met expectations in his first season at Juventus, having scored eight goals in 42 appearances in Turin. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, he\u2019s shown improvement in recent games, not only scoring against Bologna in the Bianconeri\u2019s latest match, but also showing better link-up play and helping the team defensively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, while Belgium international Openda is destined to leave Juventus at the end of the season, Spalletti might give David a second chance by assessing him further during the pre-season.<\/p>\n

David, 26, joined Juventus on a free transfer from Lille last summer, and any future sale would give Juventus a consistent capital gain.<\/p>\n

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are open to offers for the ex-Lille striker, who is valued between 20m and 30m, but Spalletti\u2019s view will also determine the club\u2019s decision on David\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Clearly, performances at the World Cup in the summer will affect the striker\u2019s price tag, for better or worse, for Juve.<\/p>\n
