Things at Alex Cooper<\/strong>\u2019s Unwell Network appear to be, well, unwell<\/em>, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

A Bloomberg<\/em> article published on Monday, April 20, alleged that Cooper\u2019s podcast network has seen a dramatic turnover in staff over the past two years. The piece also claimed that Cooper\u2019s husband, film and TV producer Matt Kaplan<\/strong>, who Bloomberg<\/em> said runs the network\u2019s day-to-day operations, has been at the center of internal turmoil.<\/p>\n

According to the report, Kaplan \u201chas earned a reputation for frequently yelling at staff members,\u201d resulting in crew members reportedly threatening to walk off projects if he \u201cdoesn\u2019t keep his distance.\u201d<\/p>\n

The piece further alleged issues on the set of the network\u2019s recent YouTube series, Unwell Winter Games<\/em>. Kaplan allegedly \u201cberated the staff on set and threatened to prevent them from ever working in Hollywood again if they messed up, resulting in a prominent, long-experienced crew member breaking down in tears.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to representatives for Cooper, Kaplan and Unwell for comment.<\/p>\n

Cooper, 31, and Kaplan, 42, launched the Unwell Network in 2023 as a burgeoning network of podcasts anchored by Cooper\u2019s own hit show, \u201cCall Her Daddy.\u201d The company has since expanded into TV production and live events and launched its own creative agency.<\/p>\n

Cooper and Kaplan, who is credited as a producer on the To All the Boys I\u2019ve Loved Before<\/em> film series and spinoff TV show XO, Kitty<\/em>, wed in April 2024. He was previously married to The Vampire Diaries<\/em> actress Claire Holt<\/strong> from 2016 to 2017.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Cooper hit the headlines as she addressed her falling out with former Unwell podcaster Alix Earle<\/strong>. Earle\u2019s \u201cHot Mess\u201d podcast was dropped by Unwell in February 2025, Variety<\/em> reported at the time, and rumors have since circulated of a feud between the former colleagues.<\/p>\n
