The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> will continue after Taylor Frankie Paul<\/strong> and ex Dakota Mortensen<\/strong>\u2019s domestic abuse investigation caused an abrupt hiatus.<\/p>\n

The Hulu series is set to resume production on season 5, Us Weekly<\/em> can confirm. No other details \u2014 including who will be involved in the series moving forward \u2014 have been revealed.<\/p>\n

News broke earlier in March that Taylor and Dakota were involved in a domestic incident, which led to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> halting production. A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah confirmed to Us<\/em>\u00a0at the time that there was an open \u201cdomestic assault investigation\u201d concerning Taylor and Dakota and noted that allegations were \u201cmade in both directions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor, for her part, exclusively told Us<\/em> that there\u2019s \u201cmore to the context\u201d of \u201ceverything\u201d than what was being reported.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tShocking new footage has leaked showing the 2023 altercation between Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen that led to the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star\u2019s arrest. TMZ released a clip on Thursday, March 19, that shows Taylor, 31, throwing multiple chairs at Dakota, 33, as they yell at each other. Taylor\u2019s daughter, Indy, now [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been hard. And it sucks to be in this position,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd the mother that I am, that is something I will always stand my ground on. I believe that I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well. So the headlines that are out right now are very hard to see because that\u2019s not the truth of it. I have always treated my children with respect and I\u2019ve never touched them. So it\u2019s been really hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

A rep for Dakota later denied that he was responsible for the dispute being made public, claiming that his \u201cNo. 1 priority\u201d is \u201cprotecting\u201d the pair\u2019s 2-year-old son, Ever.<\/p>\n

TMZ<\/em> then released footage of Taylor on Thursday, March 19, throwing a chair at Dakota during the 2023 incident that led to her arrest. At the time, Taylor was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief after the incident. She ultimately pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, while the other four charges were dismissed with prejudice. Taylor later reached a plea deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child,\u201d a rep for Taylor told TMZ<\/em> after the footage emerged. \u201cReleasing an old and selectively edited video on their son\u2019s birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued: \u201cThankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show and from their own experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hours later, a source confirmed to Us<\/em> that Dakota filed a protective order against Taylor in Utah and requested temporary custody of their son. Disney later announced that Taylor\u2019s season 22 of The Bachelorette<\/em> was canceled amid the allegations.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette<\/em> at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,\u201d a Disney Entertainment spokesperson told Us<\/em> in a statement.<\/p>\n

Us<\/i>\u00a0later confirmed on April 15\u00a0 <\/span>via a statement shared by District Attorney Sim Gill<\/b>\u2019s office that Taylor would not face any charges for the February incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cCried when I got the call \ud83d\ude4f THANK YOU to those that have stood with me,\u201d the reality star wrote via her Instagram Stories hours after the news broke.<\/p>\n
