Hulk Hogan<\/strong> opened up about hitting \u201crock bottom\u201d following his divorce from his first wife, Linda Hogan<\/strong>, in his final interview before his death.<\/p>\n

The late WWE icon \u2014 who died of a heart attack at age 71 in July 2025 \u2014 admitted to feeling suicidal after he said he gave much of his vast fortune to Linda, 66, in their divorce, which was finalized in 2009.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went home and I started drinking and, you know, started eating pills, and I just went down this rabbit hole for a couple days, and the next thing I know, I\u2019m sitting in front of my bathroom with a gun in my mouth and not knowing what I was doing,\u201d Hogan said in an interview for the Netflix documentary Hulk Hogan: Real American<\/em>, which premiered on Wednesday, April 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hit rock bottom. I gave Linda 70 percent of everything because I just didn\u2019t want to ever talk to her again, be with her, I never wanted to see her again,\u201d the 12-time world champion added, per People<\/em>. \u201cSo, I gave her everything to get rid of her, and after the divorce I had no money.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHulk Hogan and his ex-wife Linda Hogan have had quite the tumultuous relationship throughout the years. The twosome reportedly met at a restaurant in Los Angeles in the early 1980s and quickly hit it off. Hulk and Linda tied the knot in 1983 and went on to welcome daughter Brooke Hogan in May 1988, followed [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Following his divorce from Linda \u2014 with whom Hogan shared daughter Brooke<\/strong>, 37, and son Nick<\/strong>, 35 \u2014 Hogan joined wrestling company Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling in 2009, which he said \u201csaved me\u201d because he was \u201cbroke.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hogan joined TNA alongside former WCW executive and longtime friend Eric Bischoff<\/strong>, who recalled in the documentary that at the time, Hogan \u201cwas down and he was hurting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was in the darkest, most devastating part of his life,\u201d Bischoff added.<\/p>\n

Linda was also interviewed for the documentary and spoke about feeling love for Hogan, even after his death.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHulk Hogan\u2019s family is mourning the loss of the iconic wrestler while finding ways to keep his legacy alive. Hogan\u2019s family confirmed to Us Weekly in July 2025 that the former WWE star had died at age 71. The Clearwater Police Department confirmed that Hogan suffered cardiac arrest at his home. He was transported to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI still care about him the same \u2026 it doesn\u2019t go away. I wish things would\u2019ve turned out differently for us,\u201d she said. \u201cBut then when he got sick, I realized that my love never faded for him. I still had love for him. I really do. I still love him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hogan wed Jennifer McDaniel<\/strong> in 2010, a year after his divorce from Linda, but the pair divorced in 2021. In September 2023, he married Sky Daily<\/strong>, who remained with him until his death.<\/p>\n

Following Hogan\u2019s death in July 2025, Linda mourned the loss of her former husband, writing in an Instagram post, \u201cI had no idea he would pass away this soon. We all really thought he would make a comeback! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It\u2019s hitting me so hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
