Darrell Sheets<\/strong>, who starred on A&E\u2019s Storage Wars<\/em>, has died after an apparent suicide, Us Weekly<\/em> has confirmed. He was 67.<\/p>\n

Sheets died on Wednesday, April 22, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, a spokesperson for the Lake Havasu City Police Department told Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual,\u201d the statement read. \u201cUpon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department\u2019s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheets\u2019 body was \u201cturned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner\u2019s office for further investigation,\u201d according to the statement. \u201cThe male subject has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City and Darrell\u2019s family has been notified. This incident remains under active investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the uninitiated, Storage Wars<\/em> follows buyers as they bid on abandoned and unopened storage lockers in an auction. The winner of an episode is determined by the value of the locker\u2019s contents.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for A&E tells Us<\/em>, \u201cWe are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars<\/em> family, Darrell \u2018The Gambler\u2019 Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheets was described as being \u201caddicted to the \u2018high\u2019 of storage auctions,\u201d according to his Storage Wars<\/em> bio.<\/p>\n
