Emily Henry<\/strong> has remained silent about the news of Patrick Schwarzenegger<\/strong>\u2019s casting in the upcoming Beach Read<\/em> movie \u2014 and fans have taken notice.<\/p>\n Schwarzenegger, 32, announced earlier this month that he was going to be starring in the film adaptation of Henry\u2019s best-selling novel alongside Phoebe Dynevor<\/strong>. (Schwarzenegger will be playing Gus while Dynevor, 31, will star as the rom-com\u2019s lead, January.)<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so excited for this!!!\u201d Schwarzenegger captioned an April 14 Instagram post. \u201cFirst \u2014 let me say thank you to @emilyhenrywrites for the opportunity! PS- my wife is obsessed with you!\u201d<\/p>\n Since news of the White Lotus<\/em> star\u2019s casting broke, some fans have been critical about Schwarzenegger joining the project. Henry, meanwhile, has remained mum on the casting news.<\/p>\n In a recent edition of her \u201cGrocery List\u201d newsletter sent to her fans, Henry included zero mention of Schwarzenegger joining the project. Instead, she shared that the paperback version of her latest novel, Great Big Beautiful Life<\/em>, was now available while expressing her gratitude for her readers.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want to send another heartfelt thank you for all your love and support,\u201d she wrote in a Wednesday, April 22, newsletter. \u201cIt has always and continues to mean so, so much to me. More than you know.\u201d<\/p>\n Henry added she was keeping this message \u201cshort n\u2019 sweet\u201d but shared some of her favorite things, including books from Tia Williams<\/strong> and Aisling Rawle<\/strong> as well as the Peacock series Ponies<\/em>.<\/p>\n Following the newsletter\u2019s release, fans took to social media to theorize why Henry hasn\u2019t publicly addressed Schwarzenegger signing on to star in Beach Read<\/em> \u2014 after previously promising to do so.<\/p>\n \u201cThe briefest letter of all time and not a single mention of the beach read casting\u2026\u2026 it\u2019s literally never been so over my girl is pissed \ud83d\ude2d,\u201d one user wrote via X while another shared, \u201cEmily Henry not acknowledging #that man in her grocery list.. she hates this casting as much as we do omg.\u201d<\/p>\n Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Henry\u2019s spokesperson for comment.<\/p>\n Henry\u2019s move not to publicly acknowledge Schwarzenegger doesn\u2019t match her previous outspoken commentary about her film adaptations. When Dynevor\u2019s casting was announced in February, Henry celebrated the news on her social media page.<\/p>\n \u201cMore soon \ud83d\ude0f,\u201d Henry wrote via Instagram at the time alongside news confirming Dynevor will be playing January.<\/p>\n Henry also follows Dynevor on Instagram, while the author does not follow Schwarzenegger. The White Lotus alum, for his part, follows both Henry and Dynevor.<\/p>\n Beach Read<\/em> is Henry\u2019s second novel to be made into a motion picture. Her novel People We Meet on Vacation<\/em> starred Emily Bader<\/strong> and Tom Blyth<\/strong> and premiered on Netflix earlier this year.
