Nicole \u201cSnooki\u201d Polizzi<\/strong> got real about what she regrets about her approach to health screenings after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s scary,\u201d Polizzi, 38, confessed to Good Morning America<\/em>\u2019s Lara Spencer<\/strong> in Entertainment Weekly<\/em>\u2019s sneak peek at the Thursday, April 23, sitdown.<\/p>\n

Polizzi pointed out that a pap smear is \u201cactually preventative\u201d and all women have to do is \u201cgo to your appointments and you won\u2019t have to deal\u201d with more serious health issues like her.<\/p>\n

When asked if the Jersey Shore<\/em> star has \u201ca lot of regret,\u201d Polizzi replied, \u201cI do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Polizzi explained that looking back, she asked herself, \u201cLike, why were you so scared? It\u2019s literally a 10-minute appointment. You get it done, you figure it out, and then that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She told Spencer, 56, that because she was afraid to go to the doctors, she is now in a frightening position battling stage I adenocarcinoma.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, I have to plan my hysterectomy,\u201d Polizzi added. \u201cBecause I have to get a hysterectomy because I\u2019m stage I now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNicole \u201cSnooki\u201d Polizzi is sharing an update in her health journey. The Jersey Shore star, 38, revealed her stage I cervical cancer diagnosis in a TikTok video on Friday, February 20. \u201cObviously not the news that I was hoping for,\u201d Snooki said after revealing that she recently had a biopsy. \u201cBut also not the worst [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In January, Polizzi took to TikTok to film a PSA for \u201cawareness to stay on top of your appointments,\u201d admitting she was \u201cnot great with that\u201d and avoided her gynecological appointments out of fear.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been having issues with getting abnormal results. Pre-cancerous results. Pre-cancer cells in your cervix,\u201d Polizzi said in the clip, \u201cI\u2019ve been dealing with this for probably three or four years now.\u201d<\/p>\n

She recalled having to undergo a colonoscopy after her \u201cabnormal\u201d pap smear. \u201cHe found cancerous cells at the top of my cervix. So I\u2019m like, \u2018Yay, yay,\u2019\u201d Polizzi said with a sarcastic tone.<\/p>\n

The reality star explained that she was \u201cterrified\u201d after learning she needed a cone biopsy, which is a procedure where surgeons \u201cremove a cone-shaped wedge of abnormal tissue from your cervix,\u201d according to the Mayo Clinic. The procedure would determine if the cancerous cells have spread.<\/p>\n

The following month, Polizzi returned to social media and told her followers she\u2019d been diagnosed with stage I cervical cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously not the news that I was hoping for,\u201d she shared in the February 20 video. \u201cBut also not the worst news, just because they caught it so early.\u201d<\/p>\n
